School

Hi. I'm at school in computer class and I don't think i'm allowed to be on here with it. so bye :)

HOLY MARCHING BAND!!!!

In case you haven't noticed....it's been like a month since I last posted. I have a perfectly good explanation as to why and it only requires two of my favorite words in the world...Marching Band! The past month for me has been filled practices, games, exabitions, etc. all for marching band and the only word I can describe it with is INSANE!! It's sooo fun but it also takes up alot
of my time--sometimes 4 or 5 hours a day--so I guess it's good that I love it. My favorite experience from the last football game was when we fit about 12 band geeks (yes, including me) under one umbrella. It was pouring buckets and we were all soaked even though we had raincoats. Anyway, we found an umbrella and were sitting in the stands waiting for the game to start underneath it, and believe me, there aren't many entertaining things to do under an umbrella for half an hour. It turned into a bonding moment with my fellow band geeks and I'm glad it rained for a couple reasons. One is that I got to know my buddies better and the second reason is that my hair looks really cool when it's drenched! I gotta go do a "photoshoot" with my band so see ya later!

Very Busy Week!!

Hello! So this is probably the only time this week that I will have a chance to blog to you so I guess I will. Later today Emily, Bethanie, and I will hopefully go around town and find some cool new places to get band pictures! Tomorrow I'm going to participate in our marching band's debut for the season. Wednesday Bethanie and I have our music lessons and I'm going to finally perform at the 209 Coffee House! Thursday is a school shopping day with mommy and I have a doctors appointment. Friday I'm taking a break and going to a back to school party with Emily and her youth group! :) And finally, Saterday I'm getting my "Stella" haircut, probably taking band pictures for Ashlyn Sound, and rehersing a song with a local singer for church! Phew! Wish be luck!

Hi Bloggers!! It's about 11:30 PM here and the reason that I am blogging to you is because.....I'm bored out of my mind and have nothing to do :) haha. So I'm just sitting in my living room with my mommy listening to some Shelby Barnachea with her. It's so wonderful to think "Ahhhh, this is the first night in over 2 weeks that I can and WILL stay up late and sleep until noon the next day!" I'm going to miss summer so much but I am still determinded be a lazy teenager as long as possible before sophmore year starts! Another event that is coming up before school starts is the Little League parade in Williamsport that I'm going to be in for the MAHS marching band. (Remind me to write about my band camp adventures soon by the way!) I'm also going to get an epic haircut the week before school starts but shhhhh, I want to surprise my friends at school with it on the first day! Anyway, I'm going to go read a little bit before I get too tired. Goodnight!

Christina Grimmie

Hello readers! If you haven't noticed yet I have just changed the artist on my video bar to the lovely and talented Christina Grimmie! Miss Grimmie is one of the most successful and popular youtube artists that ever was and if you ask me, for good reason! She's a great pianist, has an amazing voice, not to mention she's one of the nicest people you'd ever meet. So when you ever get the chance I would totally check out some of her videos.

Happy summer!!

Hola fellow bloggers. I haven't posted anything for a while because I've been so busy so far this summer! However, it's been pretty fun. I love being with friends more often and not worrying about school work. I've been sooooo lazy though! haha spending many days sitting in my room working on new songs and writing and playing guitar. It's been great to play in front of people as well. Lately I've been trying to find open mics at coffee houses and stuff like that. I found one that I plan to attend regularly because the crowd is great and the atmosphere is really fun and laid back. Anyway, that's how my summer is going so far. How's yours?

Marching Band!!

I'm very happy to say that I'm officially a part or the MAHS marching band! :) I'm not sure how long it's been since the last time there was a guitarist in the band but apperently it's going to be alot of pressure because everyone excpects me to be amazing lol. Oh well, so far it's a blast. The only problem is that I have to march in time and even with the snare drum helping me, I have pretty much no sense of rhythm. Also, the upper-classmen are intimidating -not that they try to be lol. Other than marching band, school has been alright. Yesterday I presented a song that I wrote about Romeo & Juliet to my English class. All things considered, I guess it went well, except my voice squeeked because that song was too high, but that's a whole other story. It's a good thing I really like music.

The Big Vow Renual

Well I think I have a pretty awesome gig coming up! :D My aunt an unlce are getting there vows renued sometime early this summer and want me to play at the ceramony and reception! I'm so excited that I've been re-arranging, writing, and reading music up the ying-yang lol. This weekend I re-arranged 2 songs with Bethanie and finished one song of my own called Inferno. :) Of course, I'm also happy for my aunt and uncle to want to be more committed to their relationship. However, I hope that I'm not forced into a dress! Wish me luck! :)

Shelby :D

I found an amazingly talented musician and songwritter on youtube.com in the past few months and her name is Shelby Barnachea. I have some of her videos below, but one of them isnt her's and I can't get it off. The third one is my favorite and I accually learned how to play it on guitar. The song is called Barely Holding On. Surprisingly, she hasnt been signed yet, however I believe that she has a recording contract in her future! :)

Eye 2 Eye

Wow, it's been a while since I've posted anything. So much has been going on in this crazy life of mine. New friends, more school work, before/after school activities, and so on. I love being in the school's jazz band and now the music teacher has basicly drafted me into the pit band for our school's spring musical. It's so fun to go to practices and hang out with new people who love music. Tonight is opening night for the show and I'm extremely nervous because I've never been in a production this big, and alot of work has been put into it. Anyway, hopefully all goes well! Wish me luck :)

Well today's my 15th birthday, and I must say it was a great day, besides a few classes in school of course, but I can deal with those. At 6 AM I was at jazz band practice and somehow everyone knew it was my birthday and they made way too much of a big deal about it lol. After that I was tackled by some of my friends in the hallway on my way to homeroom. The rest of the school day went by without many more comments except for my bio teacher(the ultiment science nerd) singing happy birthday to me with my friends. A coupe of my friends and I stayed after school and played guitars in the band room until around 3, then we went home and I went out with my dad and little sister. I played more guitars and my favorite music store and showed my dad a few songs. Next, dad took us to DAIRY QUEEN :D where i got a blizzard which i barely ate half of lol. Now I'm home and relaxing for the first time in about 24 hours. Good night :)

1. How would people describe your personality? (If they could only use ONE word.) Are they right? I'm really quiet. Especially at school so most of my friends would say that.

2.What celebrity/celebrities would create a “Star-Struck” feeling if you saw them in real life? The band Skillet. They are definantly my all time favorite band!!

3.Who is your favorite blogger? Why? Emilly because she's just awesome like that.

9. What are your favorite types of reading material? James Patterson books.

Anything from heavy metal to classical(Bethoven!!). Does Bohemian Rhapsody count as opera? lol if it doesn't it should! Alot of people might be surprised that I accually like some rap music, but not the stuff by the "Wanna-be gangsters" lol

11. If you inherited a million dollars, what is the first thing you would do with your money? Help my parents pay off the bills and of course give some to the churches in Elimsport. Get a Gibson SG or Les Paul :) and buy a ton of concert tickets for my friends and I to go see an awesome band :) (I'm obsessed with concerts!)

12. Name one weakness of yours (confession is good for the soul).I bite my nails. It's true. And it's immature, I know. I also procrastinate...alot (same as Emily!)

13. If you could live anywhere at all (and take all your loved ones with you), where would you go?

14. Strange Talent? Can you juggle basketballs, put your legs behind your head or perform some other strange feat? I'm a girl who wants to be a rock star and play guitar better than all the guys :)

15. What’s something you consider yourself to be good at? (Don’t worry, it’s not bragging, it’s acknowledging a God given gift). well, my dad always says I can sing well if I let my voice do it lol idk maybe guitar? I'm no prodigy but I can play some fun solos.

16. What is one of your favorite things to catch a whiff of? the smell of spring in the country. It's the best smell in the world and could never be described!

17. When you leave a social gathering, do you wish: You would have talked more or You would have talked less? Probably talked less. If I talked at all lol it depend on if I'm with my family and friends or like a school dance or something. I end up with my foot in my mouth alot.

18. If money wasn’t a factor, what stores would you shop in? Borders, K & S Music, I've heard of a really awesome music shop out in New York somewhere but I forget what it's called but it's full of old guitars.

19. What is your greatest fear? Some thing happening to my loved ones. Writers block.

20. What is your greatest accomplishment? I make music

21. What are your favorite animals? I absolutly love dogs. they're so goofy and fun to play with. Every one has a different personality.

My million nicknames

I just noticed something. I have a lot of nicknames and I'm extremely bored. I'll list and explain them below...

• Muffin- My grandfather gave me this nickname when i was really young because I was always curled up in what he said looked like a "muffin". Don't make fun of it.


• Pootie- My cousin gave me this one. I have absolutly no idea how he came up with it.


• #5- Looong story. One day last summer I went over to my friend Emily's house to go swimming with her and her brother and my little sister. I was wearing an old, oversized football jersey that had a #5 on it. When we were about to jump into the pool, Emily's brother popped out of the water and goes "HI #5!!" and ever since he's called me that.


• Scottie- Another long story lol. Okay so last summer I went to theater camp with my little sister and the play that we were doing at the end of the week was 101 Dalmations. In case you didn't know how to completely blow an audition, it's pretty easy. You just sing a song that you wrote less than a month ago that you don't know well yet, so you get stuck with the role of a dancing, singing dog. -.- That was not my smartest choice. Anyway, I was a "Scottie" in the play. When I came home with all the pictures from the play, of course they were seen by my friends, and since then my nickname has been Scottie.

My first post :)

Hi, I'm Morgan and I created this blog to talk about my possible climb to fame. I write music alot and I love to learn how to play every intrument I can get my hands on. When I was young my dad started me with guitar and now playing it is definantly my favorite thing to do. At the moment I'm attempting (notice I didnt say succeding) to play piano. Not so great so far but I've always been fascinated with the beautiful sounds a piano can make so I'm excited to learn how to play it better. One instrument I've officially given up hope on playing is drums. I really, really stink at playing drums. Anyway, I'm excited about using blogger and figuring it out because so far it's really confusing. :)
